Ok, I know everyone needs help but I need quick help!
 

Basically I need someone who is wise (creep creep) enough to talk me through setting up an atheros wireless connector on a pc. I thought I knew what I was doing but I obviously don't as its not connecting although I've entered the WEP key and all sorts.

OK, what operating system, what hardware are you using for the connection and what have you done so far?

Hi, thanks for helping!
Its Windows XP home and am trying to use an Atheros wireless connector. The harware has been installed but don't know how to configure a profile using the livebox we have in the house.
Have tried putting in all the information I have but it won't even begin to try and connect!

Model numbers etc? What router are you going through? Like I said what (network) hardware are you running ;)

:blush: ok, I am ashamed but I have to admit a severe lack of computering knowledge bar just doing the usual things!
Erm, Atheros Super G Total 802,11 (according to the logo), by router do you mean the livebox? This is from Orange and has a WEP key (that I already connect to wirelessly with my laptop with no problems).
God I'm even struggling to explain my problem...
I'll understand if its too much of a chore to help me

So you have a laptop connected but want the PC connected wirelessly too? Ok, is the adaptor registered within Windows under device manager and are all drivers installed?
