Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

What makes you think you are on the wrong config?

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Upload speed looks wrong though - shouldn't it be 512KB up for 10MB down

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Not if he's ex TW, I think their upload was lower.

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Im supposed to be getting 10mb down

4233.03 Kbps ( 4.1 Mbps ) ??? think broadband speetest
355.09 Kbps ( 0.3 Mbps )

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

That's what the config you posted is - 10M down, 384K up

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

but im only getting 4 down ???

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Download speeds are not guaranteed, what is your setup, what equipment and connection type is in use and have you tried the speed tests at different times of the day?

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

sb4200 motorola
Signal to Noise Ratio 38 dB
QAM 256
Power Level 3 dBmV

Speed test only just run

That would be crazy paying for 10mb service and only getting 4mb down

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

And the rest of the information I asked for? ;)

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Try a download and see how fast you get.

gentoo.virginmedia.com.

Loads of large files in there.

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

vista ultimate
virgin xl package 10mb
cable connection

do you need anything else?

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

Ethernet? How long have your speeds been like this by the way?

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

500kb so half the speed it should be

---------- Post added at 14:18 ---------- Previous post was at 14:17 ----------

ethernet. First time ive run a speed test in 3 or so months

Re: HELP SPeed Issue wrong config file

I think you may need a new modem, the QAM 256 seems to bork the Surfboards.
