New customer requiring router info

Hi, got my broadband modem and STB all hooked up last week. However, the engineer couldn't connect the modem in the same room as my PC (tiling issues on the wall). So, now I need to hook up the modem downstairs up to the PC upstairs.

For this I need a wireless router. I'm totally new to this, so I'd like to get the advice of people here before spending money on one. I haven't got any spare USB slots free on my PC, so I've decided to go for a PCI/router combination.

I was wondering whether the item available here

will be good enough to do the job. I'm on 2mb broadband at the moment, but would like to upgrade in the future and I'm wondering if this item is future proof.

Thanks for any advice given.

:welcome: I have no idea what that router was seems a little to cheap for me . You want to look for netgear or linksys products if you shop around you should get a set on offer. Look to spend around 50 quid on something decent

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/63763 this router

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/45602 this pci adapter maybe

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/63762 this is the matching card for that router but its expensive they both have the speed boost which effectively (there terms im not saying it works ;)) increases the bandwidth . I personally wouldnt say you need it
