Belkin router and virgin cable modem probs
 

Hello all,

Can anybody try and help me?

i have a broadband connection with Ntl (2mg), cable modem linked to my pc with an ethernet cable, this all works fine, i recently purchased and belkin router designed for use with ntl and other cable modems, i have set it all up as directed by the instructions. This all seems to work well, good signal both my computers connect to the internet well!

i can visit any site and there is no problem, the problem starts when i try to download something, it starts to download and then just seems

to continually pause, it is not "not responding" the progress bar does not go up and the download speed does not fluctuate, you can leave it for an hour and it does not download. The same happens when i visit a site like youtube, the video starts to load up ( the red bar starts to go from left to right and then just stops!!!!)
also how do i rename my wireless network? i tried to reinstall the router but the network is still called the same thing "belkin 54g" even though i changed it!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP ME???

I'm not sure about your download problem, but to rename your wireless network, change the SSID to whatever you want broadcast. The setting is in Wireless >Channel and SSID.
