"Red Button" Symbol and Samsung STBs!!
Im sure there are a few threads out there relating to this - I have searched - alas to no avail!!
Anyhow, we have a Samsung STB 2110C. This was a replacement for a PACE 4001 - which was long overdue. I have noticed something a little annoying though!! Say, for example, I am on BBC1 or ITV and the "Red Spot" appears in the top right hand corner of the screen. With the PACE STB, all we had to do was press the BACK button, and this would disappear. Unfortunately, when you do this with the Samsung, the channel goes back to the last one viewed. Does anyone know if it is possible to get rid of the annoying red dot?? Its particularly annoying on ITV because the spot doesnt disappear after a certain amout of time like on BBC ANY advice is gratefully received!! |

Try pressing the Blue Button on your remote

Pressing BLUE? That is SO OBVIOUS
It also goes off after 30 seconds, at least on my 2110C it does! |

Oh, by the way - do you not notice that on ITV that the red dot thingy doesnt go away - if you get rid of it, it comes back again (very quickly). Although, that is only on a Saturday (seems to be the only time it appears). |

C5's red button is annoyingly large and sits there for a full minute before disappearing, but eventually it does.
Pressing blue button doesn't seem to work to get rid. |

Well pressing the blue button on my Samsung works for C5. Makes it disappear. The other channels the same. When I'm recording and I press the blue button on replay the red button does not appear at all.;) |
