Duration of recordings

We got our V+ last Friday and so far it has worked well except for two problems. First, Virgin Central on 119 - pressing the red button brings up a "please wait, loading ...." message, then it goes away but nothing loads. It doesn't work on 120 either.

Second, a couple of the programmes we have set it to record (chosen from the TV Guide) show a duration of 23 or 24 hours! These have been programmes with a start time between midnight and 1am. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

The programmes have failed to record each time, but one or two have appeared in the list of programmes yet to be recorded, although the start time has already passed. Peculiar.

There was an update last night sent to the V+ box, I think from other posts I have read it should certainly cover the Virgin Central problem.
