IRDA remote signal

Hi there,
Does the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200DVB box on Telewest use the IRDA remote signal or the other standard one (I forget what its called lol).

I believe that the V+/TVdrive boxes respond in the normal manner to infra red commands. The problem was with the standard boxes.
