Some time ago the old contractor in this area went on strike and the ntl management at the time didnt know what to do .It was in the local paper all the insatalls for 2 days were canx it was down to money and the ammout of jobs that they were being given .It got better for them then it went down hill .:)

Sorry but i had to show this statement from digital spy.

"Since Cobra employ over 900 installation engineers in Britain GMB have told the company that they need to follow the statutory 90 day consultation period for all employees. I have informed the company that should this not be the case GMB will not hesitate to defend the interests of our members by using legal means and industrial action if necessary. Cobra must surely realise that pay cuts and hourly rates below the minimum wage are not acceptable let alone legal for these highly skilled workers."

I think it needs rewording ;)

Hi mate and good luck with the action you are taking.

Do you know if the rest of the installers (cobra) in the UK plan the same action and how long do you plan to stay out for?
