Help setting up a secure wirless network

Hey, can someone tell me the process of creating a secure wireless network between five computers, all using Windows XP, with an NTL set top box? The tutorial I found online here assumes I can use a USB flashdrive (I assume that's just a regular USB storage device, right?) with my router, but my router doesn't have a USB port, it's a Linksys WRT54G. The NTL box however has a USB port, so this led me to believe I'd use this to complete the process, but I don't know how.

P.s. I have a network set up already, I just want to make it secure

Edit - Infact, I solved the problem by taking a different route =], but as I don't know how to delete or edit posts I'll just say I don't need an answer anymore in this message. Thanks.
