Wireless Network will be the death of me!!

Help!!
My current set up is two desktop pc's. one connected to a netgear WGR614v4 router (Ntl cable modem also plugged into this) The internet works fine on this computer. but on the other one, which is supposed to be connected by wireless, has the problems. The computer connects to the network occasionally, but then the connection and the internet dies out.. the most common message is "limited or no connectivity on the network" but then it says it can't even connect to the wireless network even when it can see the network in the windows network interface?!?!
Can some one ease my suffering and explain why!?!!? its doing this and how i can fix it
Thanks.

How far away from the router is the wireless computer, have you tried putting them close together to see if they connect properly. It could be a faulty wireless component.

It could be interference. Try changing channel on the router.

It's hard to diagnose without knowing the exact circumstances. Wireless will be affected by the amount of walls it has to go through but also my what's in those walls. If you are in a building with steel girders or lintels then you can experience all sorts of problems. Problems can also happen if your Wireless Access point is near your electricity fuse board or near a bundle of electric wires in your house.

Also try to do a search for other wireless access points in the area. It could be that a neighbour is using wireless and their access point is affecting yours. As another user said, try another channel on the Access Point.
