A question

Hey folks.

I just joined this forum, as it sure has lots of useful information about services provided by Virgin Media.

I joined Virgin Media back in November (am ex-NTL) as there are programs I enjoy on some Sky channels, but sadly, they've been taken away. :(

I am a Deaf customer, and as such, rely on subtitles. Since the Sky channels have been taken away and the introduction of Virgin Central and VOD, I tend to miss out on using VOD, as the shows are not subtitled :( , therefore, no good to me, lol. My current package is 3 for £30 (TV L, Phone weekends, and BB 2MB). As I rely on subtitles to watch my fave shows, I am tempted to switch to Sky (as much as I hate Murdoch) but I'd rather stay with VM. I was thinking of calling Retentions and explain but my wife says they might offer me a deal to keep me. What should I ask for, or accept? She suggested asking for Sky Movies (as most are subtitled) for a deal.

I am not sure what to ask or tell Retentions, as at the moment, I am not happy with our TV package now that Sky channels are gone.

What do u guys think?

:welcome: to the forum.

Regarding subtitling, well, the subtitling situation is terrible in this country. Unforetunately, I doubt that Retentions will be able to persuade the On Demand people to supply subtitles for Virgin Central, but they will almost certainly try and offer you a deal.

Whether you accept the deal depends on two things: What they offer you, and whether you can live without subtitles on On demand or Virgin Central.

Actually, subtitling is quite good, as most shows are subtitled. It's mainly on the BBC channels, ITV1 and 2, C4 Five. Rarely do I ever see subs on the Flextech channels (UKtv, Living, etc). It's funny watching the BBC News 24 subs, as they're forever doing spelling mistakes because it's live! lol! :D

I am not sure what to ask for, as I don't get much in return in regards to TV since Sky left  My wife suggested Sky Movies, but I doubt they'll give me all that for £30 a month :erm:
