Thank you lucky stars you've not had to shell out £299 for the Sky HD box.....

Re: V+ Tips??
My V+ tips:
1) Be patient. If for some reason the box stops responding to the remote, just wait. Don't sit there getting the ar5e and pushing every button on the remote, because it buffers them all and you'll end up watching Television X in front of the kiddies. 2) Recording and On Demand. I've found OD tends to skip and glitch if I'm recording at the same time. It *has* improved seemingly in recent weeks. 3) V+ boxes use standard remote codes (unlike normal cable boxes), so you can use a multi-remote to rid yourself of clutter. I'm saving for a Logitech Harmony. 4) Bookmark Cable Forum ;) It's got waaaaay less Sky Vs Cable arguments than Digital Spy. At least, it used to! ;) 5) 5.1 Surround. If you have the sound kit but a non-hd TV, there's still a good reason to watch BBC HD - the picture is amazing even when downscaled but the sound is usually in 5.1 - Torchwood and Later.... sound especially nice! Just turn HDMI Audio Override to ON in the menus. |
Re: V+ Tips??
