Can't really add much. I had mine installed last week. If you have a HD TV - make sure you get the engineer to set it up before he goes as I understand that you can lose the picture and then it's very tricky to rectify.

You'll also get all your subscribed channels on your other box so don't worry.

Pretty much everything is free - TV Choice n Demand is free for another 2.5 months and there's plenty to watch in there. TV Catch is also free. You only have to pay for the VOD films and the VOD music.

Thats about it - scheduling a recording - press 'home' find your prog in the TV guide, press record (or yellow to record a series) and thats it!

You only really need 2 buttons - 'V+' and 'Home' :)

I didn't get one - I did the same as you and printed the .PDF off. To be honest, I haven't even looked at it yet :)

A couple of small points but in my experience:

1) If you get a black box (which you should) and want a matching black control, do not let the engineer leave you with a silver one.

Virgin will not swap it afterwards unless it is faulty.

2) Tell the engineer you want to see the volume control working as unless you put a code in, often the volume control on the remote does not work.

If you need it there are links to codes on the forum.

:td: :td: I was told that the V+ remote had NO codes available for it to control my TV at the moment:td: :td:

Re: V+ Tips??

Here's a couple of tips

1/ Instead of the lengthy 'home' button route to the EPG - Press 'OK', 'Green'

2/ There is no way to change the 'mini-view' whilst browsing the EPG, again just press 'OK', 'Green' (Changes channel then back to EPG as it was)
