Couple of questions
I'm ex-NTL VM customer with a couple of questions. I've never been able to access interactive, on demand or Virgin Central and have been told that these services are not available in my area (London SE1). I rang retentions this morning to tell them this and to see if they could do anything for me in light of the channel losses and the fact that on demand and Virgin Central are supposed to be "replacing" those lost channels.
They have made me quite a nice offer but before I accept my questions are as follows: 1. Is there any way of finding out when the above services will be available for my area (presumably they will be at some stage)? 2. Will a V+ box make any difference to me being able to access the above? 3. If I get a V+ box and keep my old stb for a different room, will I only be able to watch what the V+ box is tuned to or will it be independent of that (i.e. my missus can watch cookery in one room while I watch football in the other!)? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks. |
Re: Couple of questions
1. Not sure. Out of curiosity are you in a digital or analogue area? I thought that the OD stuff had been enabled for all digital areas but could be wrong.
2. Dunno but as Virgin Central is red-button access rather than anything else I assume it's to make it more accessible to older boxes. You might have access to different on-demand stuff than Virgin Central offers with the V+. 3. Yes. Both boxes run independant tuners. What you can't do is playback something V+ has recorded onto the other box. |

Thanks for the other info, looks like I'll take up their offer and hope that the V+ box enables me to see those things I can't currently see. |
