Help! V+ HD Blank Screen!!
Hi there,
First small post for mankind, yeah whatever.....! Okay, I have a problem. I had the V+ (which is a telewest TV drive machine and does not have the V+ logo on it) installed today. The cable guy attached the scart and away I went. The problem is and I am really sorry if it's already in the forum but i am desperate, when I set the TV Drive machine up to HiDef with 720 wide, it tests the TV and then comes up with "can you see the picture, blah blah, press the text button to confirm" when this screen comes up I can see the HD picture in the top right hand corner, after pressing the Text button on the remote, the HD picture appears and then dissappears just as quickly, it's almost like a blank screen appears over the HD picture!!! HELP ME PEOPLE IN THE KNOW, YOUR MY ONLY HOPE! |

Re: Help! V+ HD Blank Screen!!
Before I fixed the problem with my HD connection, I decided to call my TV manufacturer (LG)....they said they literally received 100's of call with regards to setting up HD with a V+ box...definately a issue there.

Re: Help! V+ HD Blank Screen!!
When you get the message to test the settings you need to manually switch the TV channel over to the HDMI channel - it doesn't do it automatically.

Re: Help! V+ HD Blank Screen!!
Plug it in with a Scart and change the settings - Tried 720? My TV won't display 1080 when connected via DVI (although it is enabled for 1080!)
Secondly, the HDMI > DVI cable you're using... is it the right amount of pins? I don't know if it makes a difference, but mine is 24pins, but some cables are only 19pins (I believe). |
Re: Help! V+ HD Blank Screen!!
I will have to look at the amount of pins.... that sounds interesting! I have tried all the different variations of hi def from the TVDrive 720 also 720 wide, these appear to work the best as I tried 1080 and my screen turned into a blurred mess!
