Wasn't there an article on the BBC about Branson wanting to launch from Cornwall or Scotland?
Wouldn't that be fantastic, not only that launches took place from Britain, but think of the regeneration it could bring to those areas?

I'd rather buy a house instead than go for a quick trip into space.
That is way too much money !

Is it possible to launch from the UK. I thought launches generally occurred near the equator as it was easier to launch from there.

I guess it would be a case of if they can make it viable, it gives them more launch/return sites, looks good publically and hopefully will regenerate some neglected areas.

They're only going up and down again, so the lack of the need for an orbit may play a role.
