New Flat No Virgin

Hi, I am moving to a new flat and although there is cable in the street, I can see the box from the window, the owner will not give a wayleave to cable.

So within the next 10 days I hope to be on Virgin non cable BB.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and patience during my time on the forum and hope to meet you all again once I get settled in my new place.

It's always other people that frustrate a path to happiness

At least you wont be involved in the mud slinging
match that pits forum member against forum
member. I would love to know the psychological
underpinnings of such a practice. Why should be care
about the movements of billionaires? It is a bit like
tracking the movement of stars and letting it
be interpreted as a metaphor for life.

And who devised the concept of 'brand loyalty"? They
really were on to something. Never has a tryst been
so painful on my intellectual posturing. We might
all give up these sophisticated caves and join
your simple approach to sifting poison
from the airwaves.

Good luck.

Virgin ADSL? Should be a relatively painless transition, shame about owner being an a*se though as being able to say the flat is fully cable ready for future tenants would be a big selling point for some.

Its not that bad, i've had it for just on a week, trying to upgrade to 'up to' 8 meg and free phone calls. For some reason they've stuck me on 1meg (and i am actually getting 1 meg all the time!), but the free local phone calls are the big selling point to me.

The only downside is the rubbish modem you get, its a speedtouch 330 usb, but at least you can change that ;)

Erm read my post and you will see that I stated it should be a relatively painless transition ;) The normal ADSL caveats apply though.

Wasn't referring to you Paul, I was referring to my own pre-conceived ideas about ADSL v Cable. And its not actually that bad (so far ;))
