Existing Customer, same bill

I have just received my lasts bill from NTL now called Virgin Media.
They have changed the description for the services I currently use, but are still charging me the same price as before.

Now I wondering if you think this would be a good idea for Existing Customers

Automatically convert accounts to new price packages, so if a customer has 2mb Broadband, Telephone with Mobile and Evening and Weeks (Costing £36) to 2 for £20 Phone and Broadband + Mobile (Costing £21.50).

Or at least contact existing customers for offer the better packages.

This would show that the new company name (Virgin Media) is more than just name change but a change in custom care.

Any thought on this would be appreciated.

People would complain that their contract package had been changed without their consent if that happened. VM will happily move you to the new package set if you call and ask them.

There are a team of people who call existing customers all day everyday to offer better deals and packages. Hopefully everyone will get a call very soon. Hope that helps with the frustration of thinking your not on the best deal.
