right ive read the posts that help you with
this, but i dont have one of the modems listed, i have me modem intergrated within my set top box, everytime i try to run the cd installer it crashes n closes, any help would be much appreciated

I have moved your thread from the articles section (which is for reference articles), into the general forum, which is for questions.

You don't need the CD though. Just turn everything off, plug it all in, and turn on the STB, and then the computer, try to visit an Internet site, and you should go to the provisioning screen. Fill in the info, restart everything in the above order (STB, then computer) and you should be good to go.

ok i shall try this, but when i tried the jump cd i got problems gettin an ip address it said my nvidiA Networking controller was already set dhcip

Ok, go to network connections in control panel. Double click your network card and select properties. Select the Internet Protocol TCP/IP and properties for that. Make sure everything is set to auto.
