virgin media v BSkyB
I would like to switch from Sky to the Virgin Media 4 for £40 package. After reading all the news and comments about the current programming dispute, I'm not so sure now?
Sky one is one of my favorite channels and I rely on Sky2/3 to show repeats if I miss anything. Also handy if your favorite shows clash with other shows on different channels. Yes, 'Lost' is on CH4 later in the year... but what's the point in watching it if you may have allready seen the storyline in the papers or heard it through word of mouth? '24' (to my knowledge) is not available anywhere else. That alone is enough to keep me where I am! Like others, I would not be a happy teddy bear if programs like '24', 'Stargate' and 'Atlantis' where taken away by Sky after joining Virgin! I'm all for competition in programming between broadcasting companies, but a deal needs to be sorted out QUICKLY so people can make their minds up who to go with. Come on Sky and Virgin! sort yourselves out! there are customers to be won and lost. But then on the other hand... why should Sky drop it's prices to a company who can be a real threat to them now commercially?? |
Re: virgin media v BSkyB
The details of the deal should be soted by the end of the month so I'd hold on till then and make your decision. :)
