Hi from a new member.

Very impressed with Virgin Media customer services, today.

I've been a customer of ntl, originally CableTel, for many years, and currently have 4Mb broadband, family pack tv, and landline. My wife and I decided to move to Virgin's 4 for £40 bundle, to cut our monthly costs, and accept that we would have fewer tv channels, only 2Mb broadband, but free weekend calls, and a SIM card for her cellphone.

I phoned today, spoke to a very helpful lady in Bellshill, and rather than the standard 4 for £40 bundle, she applied various discounts to our current service, added on the free weekend calls, connected me to Virgin Mobile for the SIM card, and we keep the same tv and broadband as we already had, all for about 2/3 of our normal fixed charges. I don't know if this is a loyalty discount, or what? Maybe being polite helped!

Welcome to the Forum.

I had the same thing yesterday, i phoned up for the 3 for 30 deal but wanted to keep my 4Mb broadband, i was told this was not a problem and i would just have to pay the difference in price for the 4 meg.

So I now get 4mB broadband, loads more TV channels and Talk Unlimited weekend phone calls for £38 a month, which for me is a saving of about £10 a month.

Nice one VirginMedia, keep up the good work.
