Virgin Advert last night
I was watching tv last night and low and behold a advert from Virgin came on, in this advert by Virgin was the offer for I quote " download as much as you like with UNLIMITED connection to Broadband", Are Virgin rubbing salt into our wounds, Or is it a play on words, where the advert is perfectly correct in what there are saying, providing you are not in the Swansea and Preston region.....:Yikes::mad:
Its ok for cable BB costomers to say its a good thing for the traffic shaping, but they are Not in the test area, untill there have been subjected to this reduction in service they should not pass judgment. Very soon I hope they will have the pleasure of this New service provided FREE with the complimets of Virgin.:wtf::redcard: |
Re: Virgin Advert last night
Beyond speed, Virgin don't place any limits on how much you can download. BB doesn't cut off after a certain amount. You don't get charged extra.
Yes, the speed is limited, and while I personally am not a fan of traffic shaping, the speed is limited whether your connection is shaped or not. |

Do you mean that Virgin are telling a Porky pie, when they say that they are only trying this Traffic shaping police in swansea & preston, when in fact everybody is getting T.S, I have never had a problem with my connection,I have a exelent service from NTL, that is untill the trial started in my area last month. Please forgive me if you think im having a go at you personel, I am not, but it's so infuriating when you see a advert (Virgin BB) that is full of bull dropings.... Tell it as it is..... Virgin Internet connection is "Traffic Shaped":Yikes: |

Re: Virgin Advert last night
dont make me angry, you wont like me when I'm angry...
moving on..... I got a flyer today from Virgin re their new deals and it said something like "unlike other broadband suppliers, the speed advertised is the speed you get cos unlike ADSL, cable is not affected by the distance from your exchange". As traffic shaping and congestion can affect the speed you get I think it's unfair to sell it on the web site as 'upto' but on flyers as 'what you see is what you get'. |

This is about a advert ( Virgin Media Services..) posted in!...., Its not about traffic shaping or capping ect, its about what they say and what they acualy mean,if it comes across that way sorry... Zinglabarb, If you had nothing informative to say about the thread then say nothing, If you think its in the wrong Discussion group then report it, but please say something constructive in your replys to posting made. I respect that you have a high standing in this forum, but please think before you post, Sometimes its better to think somethings than to say somethings.... Sorry If I offend you by my remarks, they are not ment to be hostile in any way, but I would like to quote something you said: Nothing under my skull well I laugh in your face cuz my rep isnt just for posts and the number of helpful post awards ive had in 2 years aint bad for someone who you consider has a useless brain. Re: Virgin Advert last night
Guys, can we calm down please? If we can all drop the sarcasm, maybe we can have a sensible discussion?
