Questions about VOD films on Virgin firmware

Is it true that:

1) You can no longer resume watching a film brought from VOD on the new Virgin software? :erm:

and

2) You can only watch a film once within the 24 hour rental period? :(

I would test this myself, but I don't want to spend at least £3.00 just to find out. Point number 2 especially would put me off watching VOD movies again.

Well buy one of the 99p ones from the special offers section and then you can test this out;)

Thanks. :)

And the answer to Point 1 is.....NO. :( The resume feature is MIA.

I used to watch half of a movie one night and the other half the next night. Now I can't do that unless I spend 10 mins fast-forwarding to the bit I want to resume from.

Does anyone know why has this feature been removed?? The old software allowed you to resume. Isn't the new software supposed to be 'improved'?

BIG backwards step, IMO. :td:

It's meant to save the position in movies. It's just not working properly at the moment.

Rentals are for 24 hours as before.

Phew.
Nice to see its not been removed as a 'feature'. Any timetable for its return?

Thanks spiderplant. :)

I can't give you a forecast. As is usually the way with these things, you don't know how long it will take to fix until after you've fixed it.
