She wanted to have wireless connection in her house because she has pc with wireless connection ready. I mean i have setup wireless connection with router. now problem is i don't know how to make wireless adapater to pick up a signal from other pc which i setup.
Laptop has network card in it and WIFI 802.11a/g. I am new to vista i don't know where to go to recieve connection from other computer. Like in XP you go to network connection you can check if there is any adapter enabled or any connection in range but with vista i am clueless. The Network icon is in the system tray, right clicking should bring up the menu you need. If her laptop is the same as mine, there is a on/off switch for the wireless network on the right hand side of the case next to the two USB ports and the DVD drive. If it's switched off you will get 'Not Connected' when you hover over the wireless icon in the system tray (see pic 003). DW |
