Pin just become active!!
 

Ive been using my tvdrive for a few days now. Working great, and ive recorded a couple of shows and watched one recording.
Just gone to watch another recording, and its asking for the pin to be entered everytime.. never done this before and ive not activated anything.
Tried to two numbers i thought were the pins but no joy, the 3rd one locks you out. Just called c/s who have reset the pin but said it could take 20mins so dont try it till then.

Anyone else had this problem with the pin becoming active?

By default, anything recorded after 8pm will ask you for a PIN to view it before 8pm. You can turn this off in Settings > Parental Control Settings (but you'll need your PIN to access that!).

Aha!, it all becomes clear now. Thanks for clearing that up.

Does anybody know what the default setting is for the PIN. I assumed it would be same as old box but isn't. I phoned CS to reset that they did but that still doesn't work.

Yeah, 1,2,3,4 it is, CS reset it to this for me.

You can also set your pin via the engineer's menu. Not that you would want to play around in there.

I just has this problem, tried what I thought the engineer had set, and "1234" neither worked.
I phoned CS and was told to try "0000" it worked.
So anyone with a TVDrive box may want to try this, as well as 1234.
Looks like they have a new default.

You can turn most of these options off under settings in the main menu. I think the only thing you can't turn off is for purchasing films. (Guess it stops you saying you did it by mistake ;) )
