Better offer

Currently I have the following:

Line Rental : 11.00
Talk Evening / Weekend: 5.50
4MB BB: 17.99
Starter TV: 5.50
Sky Sports / Movies / Indian Channel: 36.50
------------------------------------------
Total Monthly: 76.49

Do you think that I can negotiate better deal then this one? I have around 2months left for the contract to end (been for 10 Months with Telewest) ... Obviously with rough calculation around the same price I can get all the TV package (including sky sports & movies), upto 18Meg bb and talk unlimited... so will it be better for me to switch to Sky once my contract expires?

No it's not a catch. The VIP pack was launced on the 1st February.

If we switch to the VIP package... does it add up more contract period to the existing one or its just like normal upgrade/downgrade?

I could be wrong but I think it's a new contract.

Re: Better offer

A couple of people i have spoken to who already have signed up have told me there is no twelve month tie in , it simply replaces your old subscription, but not having heard it from the horses mouth I cannot be certain...discuss with Virgin when/if you call to change.

Hope this helps ;)

Well I will call them up tomorrow and lets see how it goes...

By the way... do they have other similar package or should I say other new package? any info?

You see thats the problem.
Telewest/NTL/Virgin they dont keep you informed.
I have tried to watch The Box Music Channel today but its telling me that i have not subscribed to it (but its part of my package)
I phoned the CS and spoke to a lovely woman who couldnt give two hoots about me(Jobsworth). She told me that they have put this channel into a higher package and i would have to pay more to watch it.
Why wasnt i informed that there were changes being made?
I will tell you why because they expect people to sit back and be ripped off.
The lovely lady told me "if you read your terms and conditions(small print )we can make changes to your packages without informing you"
Does that mean they can cut all our phones off unless we pay for a dearer package?
WE SHOULD ALL BE INFORMED OF ANY CHANGES!

Totally agree with you mate but seeing as it's in the terms and conditions there's not a lot we can do about it. :(

They probably will do different packages ...your best bet is to ring up and go through it with somebody to see which package best suits your needs ;)
