wrt54gs and nokia n80
 

my nokia n80 will connect to my router but i get a message on the phone no gateway reply but on the phone is shows it as connected i have turned off the block requests on the router and the router shows a ip add for the phone but with no name i cant get any internet on the phone at all

Do you have WEP or WPA security set up on the router? Does the N80 support it?


Do you have MAC filtering enabled on the router? Have you added the N80's MAC to the "allow list"?


Is the router's DHCP server turned on? Is the N80 set to obtain an IP automatically?

wep is on and the pass key has been entered on the phone
the mac add has not been aded to the router
dhcp is on
the wierd thing is that it used to work fine and i have not changed any settings when you go in to the active connections on the n80 it shows that its connected but the signal keeps going activ/inactive i have a lappie connected to the router also which works fine

enter the wep code in the Hex digits instead of the passphrase, this sometimes cures that problem.

did you have issues before with the NOK and wireless networking ??

sorry its wpa and the passphrase is set on the n80 and it used work ok now it dont
