Outlook 2007-multiple e-mail accounts

Hi all, this is driving me crazy. I have just upgraded to Outlook 2007 from thunderbird ( I was seduced by the dark side......I am weeeeeak  :D )
Outlook refused to export my e-mail accounts from Thunderbird so I had to set them up manually.....one was exported from the old outlook with no trouble but my two newish e-mail accounts that I had to enter manually into outlook 2007 don't appear in the list of accounts. I therefore can connect to the ntl server with them but cannot see or read the e-mails that outlook 2007 gets from the e-mail server.
My question is: How do I get the sodding outlook 2007 to display multiple e-mail account in-box's etc...... like thunderbird does?
All help appreciated, in gratitude, in perpetuity etc, etc.....:D

Open Outlook 2007.

Tools/account settings and make sure the email tab is selected. And below the tab click NEW. You can then add another email address.

Is that what you want or am i missing something? as this is what i do. :)

Not familiar with 2007, but can you create a new Outlook data file (.pst) for each account using File --> New --> Outlook Data File?

I think you can but you wouldn't want to as it'll cause alot of un needed hassle.

I don't have msn but I have that exact 'box', with my e-mail accounts listed in it. I can test each account and send an e-mail to them but I cant pick up those mails with outlook 2007......

What email accounts are they? ntlworld, gmail?

If you select one of those accounts to change it you then have the option to test the account out in the options and this will send you a test email to outlook 2007.

[edit]

Another thought is that you might be logged in with one datafile and sending some of the emails to another data file? I believe you can change this looking at the bottom of the screenie i did.

What datafile have you told it to go to in Outlook? i suspect it's different to the one you're logged in on.

It might be easier to delete those accounts in Outlook and create them again from the screenie i did.

Hmz... i think this is going to be a difficult one! ;)

Can you check the settings from the working account with the NTL ones? as i really had no problem at all adding an email account, i just did exactly what it asked me to when adding a new account. What i don't understand is Outlook is checking the email but it's not collecting it? I think you would get an error message if it wasn't able to check/collect it.

This is when an instant messenger comes in handy!

[edit]

You do have the same data file selected as the working email account in the below pic, and is it being sent to a folder that you might have to click on?

I have that data file :tu: :)

It appears to check the mail and can send to the ntl server but it just doesn't seem to bring it back for the two new addys.....

I am mainly trying to find a way to display all three accounts in the outlook side bar ......the accounts have been created but just don't show up in the gui.....
