The BBC Media Player to go ahead.

Some of you may remember the BBC's iMP project. Some of you may have been on the beta test.

Well, it's passed the beta, and is going public, but with one slight change. The BBC Trust has specified it must be "platform agnostic". Which, to put it bluntly, means no Microsoft DRM, and it possibly won't be allowed to use Windows Media files either.

Sadly, there has to be some form of DRM, but hopefully Linux and Mac users will be able to enjoy BBC video on demand as well..
