NTL's Virgin takeover
Hi guys,
I've been using NTL as my ISP for 4+ years. I had their letter in the post saying that the 2 cable providers are merging with Virgin.net, an old provider from the late 90's. In fact, Virgin.net were my first provider! Do we need to do anything or will the service and bills carry on as normal? Also a query about the medium £24.99 package: I've been paying that price for 4 years, but from around last October onwards, it dropped to approx £21.50. There is a deduction on the bill that says "2 for £20", the two items being the NTL cable modem £0.00 + cable service £24.99. Is that normal? Thanks. |

Everything will carryone as normal for now. The biggest difference will be the name change and your bills will look slightly different.

If that is happening, and it comes down the line, then it may be possible that Virginmedia will live up to its branding, and customer service not just improves, but sets new standards. I think once they get a uniform billing system - finally - then there should be a seamless experience for us all. |
