Telewest Price increase-2Mb Broadband.

6 months ago I terminated my deal with Sky for television and returned to telewest. I had remained with Telewest for phone and broadband, but, wanting to trim costs I signed up for the 3 for £30 deal,ie, phone, TV starter and 2mb. broadband. Now I see from my most recent bill that the charge for my 2mb. broadband has gone up to the standard charge of £17.99, meaning my costs are now up to £35 or thereby. Anyone else who's on the year long deal find that their broadband cost has gone up as well or is it just mine? Surely a deal promised for 1 year should mean just that?

I could be wrong here, but I thought that £30 for all 3 services with Telewest was only for the first Three Months?
Anyway, that fact that you live in a Telewest area is good on its own, as I have found out on here that some folk are paying other ISPs a lot more for so called "Up To 8Meg" when they are only getting 2 if they are lucky?
I didn't realise any of this until I came into here, its been a right eye opener for me, so I now consider myself lucky to have Telewest;)

Looks like Telewest have messed up your bill. Have you tried talking to CS about the bill?

Gadgie, just so you know, the 3 for £30 deal isn't just for 3 months. :)

Yes Nikesh I discovered that when I went to their web site to check :dozey: my mistake.
I hope that the person gets it all sorted out, as dealing with things like that on the phone can be tricky? It took me a few phone calls and Emails to get them to take the "Teleport" service off our bill, as they added it by mistake when I rang up to find out more about it? All sorted now though:tu:

Thanks for the replies. Contacted customer services who informed me that my year on the 3 for £30 was now up; I explained it wasn't as I recalled clearly signing up in June last year when I removed my sky dish to have the house roughcasted. Put me on hold while they checked out with "customer retentions" and after 5 minutes the rep came back and said no problem that's the 3 for £30 deal reinstated. seems to me this was a "try on" by telewest, so others might want to check their bills carefully case they try to sneak it through on the sly.

There have been numerous problems in the migration from ICMS to Icoms one of the most annoying being customers deals like the 3 for 30 offer being lost in the move.
Expect a lot more problems in the future as the migration from harmony and SMS to Icoms begins.

Forget about the 3 for £30 deal and Telewest/NTL/Virgin trying it on with people.
Has anyone on the medium TV package been informed that the company has now moved The Box and at least 1 more channel into a Higher package?
Probably not because the snotty woman i spoke to from customer services(who obviously doesnt care about customers who pay her wages) told me that "if you read your terms and conditions WE DONT HAVE TO! ,we can change your package at any time we want to"
Does that mean that they can also cut my phone off at any time unless i pay a higher package fee?
Is this the sign of things to come now that Virgn has joined us?
Anyway waiting to speak to cancellations in the morning its the only music channel i watch and i aint paying any more for it.
