Excel Guru's wanted!!!
 

Hi all

Need some help setting up an Excel formula.

Basically i've got a column listing future dates like this:

01/05/2008
12/08/2009
etc etc

and what i need to setup is a formula that calculates the date into the number of seconds that have passed since 01/01/1970....:Yikes:

Any takers?!?!

Try this:

Column A has your dates, cell F1 contains the index date.

Using your examples, the number of seconds elapsed was as follows:

01/05/2008 1209600000
12/08/2009 1250035200

Use datediff to get number of days then multiply by 86400
