One final push
 

Hi guys, iv'e been reading on here for a few days now and the Tv Drive sounds really good, i'm still needing that final push though to convince me to go down this road rather than Sky, Also i was wondering if i go for it what box do you think i would get, the silver one or the Virgin one? I'm in Glasgow. Thanks for any replies.:dunce:

If you order it now, I think you will get a Silver box. The Virgin branded box isn't being given out yet I don't think.

I was thinking of getting the TV Drive (V+) but however, im going to wait to after the merger when the virgin branded boxes are started been handed out. Personally i have a strong fellling virgin media have got a trick up there sleve about the V+ boxes, maybe giving all customers V+ boxes for free. But there is no facts yet, there keeping everythink hush hush!!

Personally im going to wait ;)

The V+ Box is free to everyone now! Thats the point of getting it over sky. You just pay for the additional subscription not the box.

Sky would only give you a free Sky+ box. You can, if you push hard enough, get that now. If you take out the 3 for £37 offer on the phone, especially with multi room over the phone you can neg. it. However this is a SD, lower capacity box which you buy 'for nothing'.

The V+HD/TVDrive is a HD, higher capacity box which you rent. Should you ever get any problems or fancy a cheeky upgrade its straight forward.

As for which colour you get depends on your network and time of installation :)
