Front Audio Headers
Got 4 cables, yellow, white, red and black that are the connectors for the front audio that need to go onto the motherboard header but I'm not sure which is which as none are marked.
All I have to follow is this but I am not sure what goes where. http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/8738/frontaudioix7.jpg http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/%5...G%5D%5B/URL%5Dhttp://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/%5...G%5D%5B/URL%5D |
Re: Front Audio Headers
i take it there are no markings on the push on connectors then? most cases have some form of identing.
have u tried checking the case manufacturer's website (that is if it's case fitted) to see if they have any info on the wiring schemes, or is it a bay mounted exp unit? |
Re: Front Audio Headers
There are no markings on the pins or anywhere on the case. I bought the case second hand so got nothing with it and I cant find much on their site yet.

Re: Front Audio Headers
I would think:
Black = Ground Red = Right Channel In Yellow = Left Channel In White = Mic In The Yellow/White might be reversed. DW |
Re: Front Audio Headers
The case is a Tsunami Capricorn but theres nothing on the site.
DW I will give that ago when I come back in later. |
Re: Front Audio Headers
seems that you're not the only one to have had this problem, if still having probs then found this if it helps.

Re: Front Audio Headers
It is onboard sound. They all seem enabled. I will double check again.

Re: Front Audio Headers
its quite normal for front headers to disable the rears when used
|
Re: Front Audio Headers
I am just going to unplug the front headers and try and see if it works. In theory both should work like they do on this machine I am on now.
