ata-6 and ultra ata/100
 
looking at replacing a hdd in a laptop to a bigger size. my interface is ata-6 and a harddrive i have found is ultra ata/100 i dont get it? is it the same?

I believe ATA6 = ATA133 so you should be able to buy an ATA133 hard drive, although the ATA100 will work also but it's slower. Wait until Zingle gets here though incase i'm wrong! ;)

ATA 133 was invented by maxtor afaik there is a gnats small things difference in the two
