Any Photoshop/image whizzes out there ?
 

Hi there,

I want to make some headers for a blog out of photographs. The headers would have to be say 700 by 200 and the photos are considerably bigger. In the past I would just reduce the size of the picture and then start messing around with the attributes until I got it to looking kind of right, usually I would find though I would not get the ideal 700 by 200 image due to my little system not being very accurate.

So my question is - Is there a way to choose a specific section of a photo using a specified size ? I am sure there must be but I just cannot figure out how!

You can crop using a drag box in Irfanview and while you are doing it the dimensions of the crop area are shown in the title bar at the top of the window.
