Who do I call to change my number and how much will it be?

I want to change my phone number, my OH used it to sell some thing on the net and since then we keep getting calls from people wanting to buy the stuff which is a pain Ive put up with for over a year now but I cant any more.

Is there a free number I can dial? How long does it usually take? and how much should it cost?

Also, I need to change my name too, will I be able to do this all in one call????

Call Customer Services on 150 from your ntl phone line, or 0845 454 0000 from another line. I believe the first change is free, but don't quote me on that! ;)

As for changing the name, yes you can request it on the same call but some proof of the change will be required (a Change of Name form will probably be posted to you). If it's just a misspelling, it can probably be done over the phone.
