Virgin Media new T & Cs
I have just receive the new intro pack from that smashing chap Richard Branson telling me all about the new Virgin Media rebranding etc etc. Inan accompanying leaflet entitled "boring (but important) stuff for you to read" i note that in section B-2 it states " we will not continue to provide you with television services if we find out that you do not have a valid television licence"
What a curious thing. Surely the business of TV licencing is a matter between the relevant authorities and the end user and has nothing to do with Virgin media? |
Re: Virgin Media new T & Cs
I'm sure under the ammended act of wireless telegraphy 1949 and communications act (television licensing) regulations 2004 - anybody selling or renting equipment that is capable of receiving any television service (this includes Sky, ntl:Telewest (virgin media) who are classed also as TV dealers) must pass on relevant details within 28 days to Tv Licensing or face a criminal charge for each person not notified of.
That will be alot of money then if they have over millions of subscribers. :D |
