Quick M$ Word question
 

How do you turn off the setting in word where it shows you all the formatting like when you've hit 'tab' or 'return'

IE it shows a little icon every time you hit 'return' which looks a bit like a set of cricket stumps?

"Tools" > "Options" > "View" > "Formatting Marks"

doh found it, tools/options/view tab and deselect all formatting marks.

Or the backwards "P" symbol on the toolbar...
