Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter no connecting..

Evening,

Today my wireless connection stop working for no apparent reason.

When I look at wireless networks, it's detects four in the area but when I connect to it it says it can't because it's out of range.

Nothing has changed in the config of the PC or router (Linksys WAG54GS).

Other PC's work fine - apart from this one PC. I've got a spare USB wireless so I'm using that at the moment.

I've tried removing all the wireless networks - it just re-detected them but refused to connect to mine (error as above).

I've un-installed the device and re-installed again and it's got the same issue....

Tried disabling the Firewall (Kerio)...

Any ideas? I'm stumped!!

Are you using the Linksys sofware or Windows to control the card?

Try removing & reinstalling the Linksys software if you're using that...

Windows is controlling it...not installed the Linksys software - there's no need when Windows can control it!

In that case how about disabling the wireless zero config service & trying the Linksys software?

Sometimes you get more control using the manufacturer's software, that's all...

Yeah - good idea...

Well - I've just disabled the temporary Netgear USB and thought I'd try re-enabling the Linksys PCI - it's now bloody working again....

Fantastic....I have an intermittent hardware problem

If it does it again - I'll try the Linksys software...
