I actually cant believe it im on the phone to ntl right now and i am in process of ordering tv drive from ntl, free box (unlike sky who charge £299) and they're going to move my exisiting box to another room and all for only an extra £15 a month. I only phoned to ask when it will be available and they have just confirmed they will be coming on 25th jan.

so you can have NTL in HDTV for an extra £15 per month and thats all you have to pay?

Re: Ntl Hd

I think you have to pay an extra £5 a month for moving the old box to another room, and then £10 a month for the HD service. Total £15 extra.

That's correct.

I have 3x NTL pace boxes at the moment and I am getting a TV Drive soon. What do u reckon I should do?

1. Replace a box.
2. Or have 3 Pace boxes and 1 TV Drive (and cancel on of the old ones to make only 2xPace boxes and 1xTV Drive?

Up to you, price wise as of February 1st (with new names in brackets)

1. TvDrive (V+) £10 if on Family (XL) [or £15 if on anyone other package]
+ one of your stb's (V Box's) at £5
and the other stb (V Box) at £9.50 [used to be £15]

2. Same as above, but means one more charge of £9.50

Is it worth getting NTL TV Drive?

I was going to order NTL TV Drive. But I am a little unsure about the prices. At the moment I have:

1x Family Pack - £19.50
2x Standard Boxes - £30.00 (£15 each)
1x Free Standard Box - £0.00
Total - £49.50 (per month)

Now TWO of the standard boxes are running on HD READY LCD TV's, and one on a CRT. Now is it worth me getting 2 NTL TV Drive boxes (or 1 if 2 isnt possible)? All I know is that you pay an extra £10 per month and a £75 installation fee and they take the old box away, does that mean it will cost me £25 per month or only £10 per month for TV Drive.

Or should I cancel two of my standard boxes and get 2 TV Drives and choose the different route and have them transfer the two boxes to the other room again for only £5 per month and no installation charge? You see I am very confused about the pricing, can someone please help me out :D

Thanks.

Edit: OK, that was weird, my thread was moved into this post instead.

I think you can only get 1 TV drive at the moment - if you replace one standard box with the TV drive from what I understand the TV Drive will cost £10 - 1 stb £5.00 & the other £9.50 so you should be saving £5.50 a month if my maths are correct

Re: Ntl Hd

OK, that sounds good. So I would be getting:

1x Family Pack - £19.50
1x Standard Box - £9.50
1x Standard Box - £5.00
1x TV Drive - £10.00
Total - £44.00

That sounds very good, but I thought that the standard boxes cost £15 per month not £9.50, maybe I am wrong. But I definaletly pay £30 a month for two boxes and one free atm.

I know that one additional set-top box is £5, 'm not sure about any more on the same account?
