Problem with phone
 

Hey everyone,

small problem with our house phone, we can phone out fine, but when someone phones in, it rings once and then does not keep ringing....

even if I use my mobile to phone home, it sounds as if, the phone has not been hung up correctly, but all phones are put down fine.

does anyone know what is happening, or is it a call to CS?

are they open today or tomorrow?

Have you tried a known working phone on the line in case your phone has gone faulty?

we have 3 phones connected to the line, never had any problems with it for years. and we can phone out from all with no problems. its just phoneing in thats the problem.

Have you tried unplugging all the phones and trying each one on each socket? Dunno if NTL troubleshooting is like BT trouble shooting but a fault on one phone on the line can then cause symptoms on all phones on the line.
