SACM and STB conflict
I've just had a STB added to my sccount and have been unable to access VOD or interactive.
The nice lady at NTL has said its a recently emerging problem with BB customers upgrading to TV where the system will only support one or the other? They are working on a fix..... Anyone else had this? |
Re: SACM and STB conflict
guessing your in a bromley area, there are one or 2 issues with the new billing system, it is possible to have both on the box, but there are 1 or 2 issues with some accounts at the moment, i know its not an answer you probably want to here, but they are working on it & it should be resolved soon...

Re: SACM and STB conflict
Is it worth me ringing Faults or CS with this issue again. I want VOD and am getting twitchy :D
Surely the whole of Bromley serviced area cannot be having this problem? |
Re: SACM and STB conflict
Do you get your broadband through a stand-alone cable modem?
The Interactive entitlement probably hasn't been added to your account. It's missing off a lot of accounts because it's not required in Telewest areas. Try Faults again (dial 151 from a Virgin landline), and get them to check the Interactive services are enabled on your account. |
Re: SACM and STB conflict
cool thanks for that :)
Yes i do have both sacm and stb. I will call them once i crawl from my pit tomorrow. |
Re: SACM and STB conflict
Update on this.
Spoke to an Asian lady, it is being escalated to 2nd line faults, details taken were STB number and Card Number. I also raised the problem I have rebooting (it takes an age to reboot, if i repower too early i just get a flashing red powerlight). |
Re: SACM and STB conflict
Final update. I'm enabled and running and actually rather impressed :D
