wlan speed

Guys,

I've seen a post before of some1 where the speed of the network wireless was only a 3rd compared to the full speed on lan.

NTL 10 meg
F5D7231 (router)
F5D7001 (wlan card)

speed wired is 1.1 mbps.
speed wlan is 253 kbps.

I have changed all the channels already and got a good signal on all of them, same results.

quite a difference. and I've looked all over the last couple of months on the forum but cant find anymore what the trick was.

Cheers.

Re: wlan speed

I'm not sure what the problem is because both your router and wireless adaptor are capable of very high speeds.

Hopefully someone will come along and help soon.

Re: wlan speed

If you're running wireless with encryption I think that causes a bit of a speed reduction, but nothing to that extent AFAIK...
