for some reason my home network is doing something strange all my shared folders was in the section local network now some of them say that they are on the internet (see pic) is this right?

Just looked at mine and they are also put under the 'Internet' group

so does this mean that they can be seen by anyone? or was it one of microsofts updates that has changed it

Try right clicking in "my network places" and arrange by computer rather than network location.

Don't worry because the Majority of ISPs block the ports required for Windows File/Printer sharing anyway due to the multiple vulnerabilities they present. Are you using ICS, Behind a router or directly connected?

I am using a router its strange as all the files were in the local network and i can see them if i right click and arrange under computer is shows them as from the pc they are from but if you right click und put under network location they show as they under thr internet
