Windows Security Center Shows 2 Antivirus Applications
 

My Norton supscription has expired so i switched to using avast! home edition, however

I used SymNRT to remove norton and the program seems to be gone, but the Windows Security Center indicates i am running 2 antivirus apps, I uninstalled avast! and it says that Norton is installed and running! How do I get rid of this :confused:

Have you ever edited the registry before ?

Ive found the hard way to do it and i have fixed it now. This should work on any security app. This is the solution i used:

P.s: yes i have edited the registry many times
