weird STB update message, anyone else?
 

hey all,
Was having a chat with my old dear who is having a weird STB problem with their pace box. When they press the guide button they get a message saying the box has received and update, press confirm or cancel to apply at a later time. if they chose confirm then the box just hangs for 10+minutes and they have to reboot.

is this a real update, or is their pace box about to meet its maker?

Have they tried powering the box off for a couple of mins to see if anything is trapped in a loop somewhere?

i dont know if they have for a few minutes, i know its been rebooted. i shall suggest they try this and see what happens :)

I'm getting the same problem too so seems a Luton issue. It's happened to me twice in the past couple of days.
