Caller Display
 

Anyone able to help got a Cable&Wireless Caller Display unit CW170 Wednesday, phoned Ntl and they said it would take 24hrs to work I've tried and no luck the display doesn't show any record of caller displaying the numbers, Is because the chap said it was free or will I be charged for the service, it was hard to hear, because of his Indian voice (fast paced), plus the line ion his end had was weak.

Is caller ID available in your area? We got told it would be enabled on our local exchange for a looooong time before we finally gave up and went back to BT.

If caller ID available it costs £1.75 per month.

Not all caller-id phones are compatible with NTL caller-id though, they use a slightly different standard to BT - my cheap Binatone works as well as my ntl-brand phones.
