Fenlock, you can change the personal title then now ;)

I was amazed when the question about 100mbit was asked, and he said thats not too far into the future (i'm guessing not planned, just telling us it's probably possible) and then proceeded to announce 50mb :|

Amazing. Now, anyone for a 50Gb a month cap on it :p: (Just kidding)

More like 2mb absolute max i reckon, but who knows. Numbers are still flying around. I'll not be surprised if caps are brought back in on this product.

But will you actually consistently receive 50MB, or anywhere near it. And what will you do with the bandwidth, other than download even more po... movies? It's the Dyson no loss of suction all over again.

HD Streaming? And you can legally download pc games you purchase and the case of the worlds need for speed.

Re: 50MB Early next year

Good point i think i'd be set with 10mb/2mb, i tend to need upload more than download these days, but it's always nice to have a lovely downstream to boast about...

However, with 3 PC's on my network right now, divide 10mb by 3, and we get 3.33mbps, that should be more than plenty for anyone ;)

Why cant they go the way other eu countries do 10/10 20/20 and so on. They might be an extra £10 but its worth it.

Because the network can't take it?

I want to know why they can't let us all (on the same ISP) be able to have higher speeds to other people on the network? They'd hardly have to pay for any bandwidth, but it could be really beneficial.
