CAVS (Comodo) Beta 2.0.0.1
 

Comodo has released CAVS Beta 2.0.0.1 (anti-virus program). It has a feature called 'Host Intrusion Prevention System' (HIPS) that is designed to prevent malware from ever from installing. This includes rootkits.

There are no daily or hourly updates to virus definitions as yet. I read there will be regular updates to the whole program and new definitions will arrive with those. More about CAVS, HIPS and updates can be read here.

HIPS is nothing new, 2 year old kerio has it.
